Along with three other photographers & chemists, I Co-Founded a 501 3c community art organization, As the Color Director, I led all efforts related to providing analog color services and classes.
Identifying the mission and vision for the nonprofit darkroom, focusing on community engagement, education, and preservation of analog photography.
Designing and setting up the darkroom space, including darkroom equipment, chemical storage, and safety measures.
Developing programming and services such as workshops, classes, and open studio hours to engage the community.
Learning analog and digital methods and creating classes to share knowledge.
This experience was one of the most foundational experiences of my career. Along with my co-founders, I built a community of artists and provided access to materials, studio space and information about working with analog photography.

As an Advertising Retoucher, I provided digital imaging and prepress services for multiple brands.
Working with clients including Victoria’s Secret, West Elm, and Ogilvy.
Photo editing and retouching using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One.
Retouching a wide range of photography types including fashion, architecture, and e-commerce product images.
Skin retouching, color correction, and background alteration.
Creating composite images and manipulating photo elements.
Collaborating with art directors and design teams to ensure consistency and quality across all images.
The most valuable part of this work was learning highly technical skills in both digital imaging and pre-press production.

As a Digital Imaging Specialist, I provided on-site imaging support for print magazines.
Working with clients under both the Hearst and Condé Nast umbrellas, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Bon Appétit, and many others.
Working with teams based in Manila, Philippines.
Managing the quality and delivery of outsourced materials for each magazine.
Providing guidance to brands about imaging perception.
Building a team of full-time and freelance staff to assist in a growing number of contracts.
Here I learned to work with many different people with a variety of goals within the print production timeline.

As a UX Designer and Scrum Master, I worked with a team of researchers and designers to build a digital product that would promote healthy sexual behaviors in millennials.
My team and I worked together with our stakeholders to create a valuable first product for Hikmah Tech, Spark, prioritizing user stories and ensuring alignment with the business goals.
Facilitated scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning and sprint reviews, ensuring adherence to agile principles and practices.
I identified and resolved impediments, enabling the team to maintain a consistent sprint cadence and meet project deadlines.
I prepared and executed a user research plan and a design roadmap
I tested product prototypes and integrated what we learned into several prototype iterations
Children’s National Hospital

As a UX Reasearch and Design Consultant, I met with stakeholders within the Rare Disease Institute to identify how an existing product, Bear Genes, was working for patients and genetic councilors.
I collaborated closely with stakeholders to define project scope, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
I managed the end-to-end software design and development lifecycle for Bear Genes mobile app.
I designed a research program to understand what problems patients and parents face when receiving a rare disease diagnosis.
I designed and executed an iterative wireframing, prototyping and testing process
I delivered wireframes and style guides to the developers of Bear Genes.
I worked closely with distributed teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different time zones.
I learned quite a bit during this project, about how hospital infrastructure works (or doesn’t), what kind of blockers exist when working with private medical information. Furthermore, I learned quite a bit about working with users who have an immediate emotional stake in learning as much as they can about a complicated medical diagnosis.

As a Digital Product Designer, I managed the production and quality of content for Apple News+ for Hearst and Condé Nast brands.
I designed Apple News articles for brands such as Vanity Fair, Bon Appétit, and Cosmopolitan magazines
I advocated for accessibility and use a best practices approach to digital design work
I Implemented and championed agile best practices, ensuring adherence to project delivery expectations.
I established and maintained strong relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, expectations management, and alignment with project objectives.
I edited SCSS and JSON files to further customize article behavior within the Apple News Publisher platform
